Mark H. Hodges

Mark Hodges is president and managing partner of Mid Atlantic Cotton Gin located in Southampton County.  He has owned and operated the cotton gin since 1999.  Previously Mr. Hodges worked in the peanut industry.  He was employed by Hancock Peanut Company from 1979-1992 where he maintained positions of Chief Financial Officer and Sales Manager.  After Hancock Peanut Company's acquisition in 1992, Mr. Hodges served as regional Vice=President for Morven Partners, a national peanut shelling and processing firm.  Mr. Hodges managed four shelling operations in Virginia and North Carolina.

Mr. Hodges received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in economics from Atlantic Christian College in 1979.

He has served on the North Carolina and Virginia Peanut Advisory Board as well as serving on the Peanut Administrative Committee for USDA.  He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Southern Ginners Association and has been the Virginia Ginners Delegate for the National Cotton Council.

Mr. Hodges resides in Courtland, Virginia and is a member if the Courtland United Methodist Church.
