William A. Sorrentino, Jr.


Bill Sorrentino is the President and CEO of Sorrentino Consulting, LLC, a full service consulting firm providing services that focus on improving Project Delivery specifically for  the Architect, Engineering and Construction Industry.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, a certified Project Management Professional and a Design Build Professional with over 36 years of exceptional design and construction experience. 

Prior to launching Sorrentino Consulting, LLC, he served as a Vice President at STV Incorporated.  He was the Operations Manager of the Norfolk, Virginia office providing engineering and architectural services to federal, municipal and private clients. 

Prior to working with STV, Mr. Sorrentino served as the Chief of Engineering and Construction as well as the Deputy District Engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk, and was responsible for delivery of all programs and projects.

Mr. Sorrentino’s leadership and recommendations have shaped the way his organizations have implemented and practiced project management.  For example: time and cost growth less than 1% on a $2.5 billion dollar program, being named the best place to work in Hampton Roads, and the only public agency to be named as the Best Place to Work in Virginia.

He consults and teaches Project Management Best Practices to the AEC Industry and public sector.  Mr. Sorrentino travels around the United States talking in-depth with AE firms and government agencies and is in the unique position to observe trends and influence best practices in the government and private sector.
