SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY
Lynette C. Lowe is Deputy County Administrator and Chief Financial Officer for Southampton County. Prior to joining the county in 2010 she spent 16 years working for the Virginia Department of Corrections with her last job being Business Manager at Deerfield Correctional Center. Prior to 1994 she worked as a C.P.A. for local accounting firm Britt & Peak. She has served on various committee’s throughout her career.
Mrs. Lowe attended the University of Virginia and graduated in 1989 from UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a concentration in Accounting. She obtained her Certified Public Accountant’s license in 1992.
She is a resident of Southampton County and loves working for the people in her community. She is married to Kenneth and has one daughter, Brittney. Mrs. Lowe is a lifelong member of Black Creek Baptist Church and was a children’s Sunday school teacher for nearly two decades.
