SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY
Tony Parnell is currently employed by the Virginia Department of Corrections as an Assistant Director of the Infrastructure and Environmental Management Unit. His current duties include oversight of all Capital and Maintenance Reserve projects for the Department. His prior focus was on Environmental issues where his duties included oversight of all Water and Wastewater Plants, Boiler Plants, the Agency’s Pesticide Program, Air Compliance, Environmental Remediation, emergency responses, deconstruction services, pollution prevention and recycling/sustainability for the Department.
Mr. Parnell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science with a minor in Computer Science and Agricultural from Ferrum College. In his professional career, he has worked as an environmental consultant for various consulting firms, developed and implemented the environmental program for a fortune 100 company and has worked for both state and federal environmental regulatory agencies.
Mr. Parnell resides in Courtland, VA with his wonderful wife Joanne.
