The Chesapeake Transfer Station receives solid waste from the city's municipal haulers, Chesapeake residents and private waste haulers. Solid waste is screened for unauthorized waste by staff members. The waste is loaded onto MBI transfer vehicles and delivered to the Refuse Derived Fuel Plant to be converted into fuel.

- Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – No Residential Dumping
- Wednesday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Chesapeake residents and commercial use only
- Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for anyone
- Saturday 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. for Chesapeake residents only
- Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. for Chesapeake residents only
- HHW & E-Waste Disposal - Every Third Saturday and First Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
