The Chesapeake Transfer Station receives solid waste from the city's municipal haulers, Chesapeake residents and private waste haulers. Solid waste is screened for unauthorized waste by staff members.
Transfer Station Operations
- Located on three acre site
- Designed to receive 500 tons of waste daily
On-Site Operations
- Household hazardous waste collection
- Used motor oil drop-off
Hours of Operation
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – No Residential Dumping
- Wednesday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Chesapeake residents and commercial use only
- Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for anyone
- Saturday 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. for Chesapeake residents only
- Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. for Chesapeake residents only
- HHW & E-Waste Disposal - Every Third Saturday and First Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
