Norfolk

The Norfolk Transfer Station receives solid waste from the city's municipal haulers, Norfolk residents and private waste haulers. Solid waste is screened for unauthorized waste by staff members. The waste is loaded onto SPSA transfer vehicles and delivered to the Regional Landfill.

Norfolk Transfer Station Operations

  • Located on seven acre site
  • Station housed in a fully enclosed building
  • Designed to receive 1,300 tons of waste daily
  • 27,200 square foot tipping floor

On-Site Operations

  • Household hazardous waste collection
  • Used motor oil drop-off

Hours of Operation

  • Monday - Friday, 800 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - No Residential Dumping
  • Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12 p.m. for commercial and Norfolk residents
  • Saturday noon - 4:00 p.m. for Norfolk residents only             
  • Sunday noon - 4:00 p.m. for Norfolk residents only               
  • HHW & E-Waste Disposal - Every Tuesday and Saturday, 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
